The Canadian Celiac Association is a national organization dedicated to providing services to support persons afflicted with Celiac disease and/or Dermatitis Herpetiformis through programs of Awareness, Advocacy, Education and Research. Celiacs are served by local Chapters throughout Canada, which united, form a national body called the Canadian Celiac Association. The Association is incorporated under the Canada Corporations Act. The National Association and the local Chapters are registered Charities.

The Peterborough Chapter was founded in 2001, following several years of operating as a Satellite of Quinte Chapter. Currently there are approximately 77 members. We are prepared to help both newly diagnosed or previously diagnosed Celiacs and their families adjust to gluten-free living. Members are given dietary information, access to a lending library and resource material, recipes, as well as help in locating gluten free products in this area.
